“I aim to become the president of my country. Will be the greatest scientist. One day, I will be the richest person in the world. I aim to and so goes the list of ambitions of people.”
Nobody remembers that the final goal for each one of us is going back to earth. Let us talk more about ambitions.
Are ambitions good or bad? This is difficult to answer, isn’t it? To be an ambitious person must be very good. With ambitions a person strives to achieve a great feat. Few of us have very big ambitions and few very small. It all depends on our contentment.
What will make us feel happy? What will make us feel worthy, and what will make us feel powerful? It’s all about what we want from life.
If you want money at any cost, you will compromise with all other values and try to make more money. But if your ambition is to become an honest person and live a God fearing life, no amount of money can attract you to do any wrongs.
Ambitions therefore depend upon our character, culture, mental makeup, outlook, values and so on. Till our ambitions don’t trouble others it is okay.
If by achieving our goals, we make others happy, that is still better. But if our ambitions hurt others, we must revisit our thinking and redefine our ambitions.
Do not dare to miss the first part.
Attitude of gratitude
This is why it is important to hold on to an attitude of gratitude for the things you already have. You can even be grateful for where you are in life right now, no matter how bad it is. That is the launching platform for your new improved life. Start from where you are. Wherever you are in life it is the right place for you right now. Just be satisfied to begin from where you are and you will soon get to where you want to go.
Once you have identified those things in life you wish to have, begin to think of them often. Imagine that you are already in possession of them. This is you becoming at one with your desire. Once you can hold your desire in mind and see, feel and accept that you are in possession of it you have become your future vision.
This is being your desire. Look at children they are excellent at this. It is a natural state of mind and not as hard to achieve as you may imagine. Just allow yourself to do it. Have fun and play with your internal vision. Enjoy it!
Be flexible enough to allow the universe to deliver these things to you as it sees fit. However, you need to take action. The Bible tells us that, “faith without works is dead”, James 2:14-26.
Be ready to take some steps towards your goal. No matter how small or insignificant these steps are taken at least some action every day that will bring you closer to your desires.
You will soon find that as you take even small steps towards your desires and stay true to your inner vision the universe will rush to meet you. Coincidences will occur and you will find opportunities are presented to you. As long as you are generating positive emotions around your internal vision, your actions will be a pleasure and feel natural.
So remember, be what you desire, then do what you have to in order to bring you closer to those desires and then you will have everything you want!
— end —
Remember, defeat has never been the worst of failures, but not trying at all is the true failure. Sometimes, it helps you to realize your limitations and capabilities. After all, not everything is dependent on you; there are several others out there ready to screw your life goals in one way or the other.
In all of these, taking opportunities is critical to achieving one’s goals. You may have had several setbacks in the past, but the man that persists, is the one that knows what it means to achieve his goals irrespective of the obstacles confronting him.
Mental preparation is key, and one of the surest ways of reaching your goals. Evaluate what went wrong previously, learning how not to repeat the same mistake again. With that, you should be able to make progress, even tiny bits of it.
To fail is heart-wrenching, not to bounce back is like putting a death sentence to all your dreams and aspirations. Like a stone loosed from a sling, confront your Goliath without fear! You may have been buried beneath the currents of life, but it’s time to rear your head and clutch at the opportunities before you. Never be afraid of anything, rather, seize life with a second grip like someone who almost lost it the first time.
You’re coming out of the fire as a purified gold. Life is worth living!
You are Going Somewhere! Whether you have bandages and Scars still clinging to you, It doesn’t bind you!
There’s no gainsaying that success brings happiness and satisfaction. It’s the fulfillment of a goal for putting in the best of your efforts and time. As each second and minute passes by, all you can think of is how to fulfill that goal. Each step taking in the right direction is a milestone, and a step gone wrong can have devastating consequences, and possibly lead to failure.
The sense of achievement and joy attained on reaching a goal is unparalleled. However, success without failure is not possible. A successful man can only lay a firm foundation using bricks that were thrown at him.
Even the minutest of our daily task involves success and failure. Take for instance, getting to your place of work on time, in spite of obstacles, is a goal in itself. Though achieving this goal may be a small success, but it is significant enough to get your day started in the right direction. When you fail to achieve this small target, taunts and insults set in. This tends to have a domino effect on all the activities of the day.
It is important to note that each step in life, regardless of how small, is important. So also is success and failure. Wondering how failure is important? The truth about failure is that it makes you stronger; it gives you inspiration (and remember, inspiration is always better than motivation!), strength and ultimately, helps you to LEARN.
