CROSSROADS

Sometimes when I look back, and think of all the “could- have- beens” in my life, I often wonder: did I make the right choice? Did I miss a road sign?… Am I on the right track?… CROSSROADS …

They happen all the time. saying goodbye to some, choosing only one.  Letting go, holding on… settling for now, but facing what must come.

Yes, in life, we all reach a crossroad sometime.

We make painful decision and take some risks as we pursue our dreams.  But one should not stay at the CROSSROADS too long. For even the birds have to leave their nests sometime and learn how to fly.

The Life road is long and rough, and there are stretches when one has to do it alone. And should you meet the cross at the road, be consoled.

Yes, more often than not, the road less traveled will surely bring you home. Face the light and the shadow falls behind you. Turn your back, and the shadows fall in front of you.

Indeed, the truth hurts, but it will surely set you free. The bitter pangs of parting, will give birth to another moment called growing.

So grow on.. until it’s time for you to move on… and face the crossroads again.

Knowing God loves you and is in control of everything.

Be strong at the crossroads.

Embrace the CROSS at the ROAD.

The LORD is at the cross, at the road, at all your CROSSROADS …

Are You Giving Yourself A Hard Time?

Daily Life Treasures

Giving yourself a hard time is unhealthy

Self-criticism

Are you constantly criticizing yourself for every little time you do wrong, for example saying things to ourselves like….“I should have said this”… “Look I can’t even do this simple thing”… “Everyone thinks I’m stupid” etc, etc.

I put my hand up too. I know I’m guilty of this as well as everyone. Oftentimes I say things like “I wonder will anybody read this article.”

Or “maybe they will think it stinks” blah, blah, blah.

Think it over

But come to think of it. You had a best friend. And you talked to them like this how long would they stay with you? Or would they even want to be around you? But we do this everyday. And when you really think about you’ll never be able to escape from “you.”

No matter how far you run, so today give yourself a…

Creating Our Reality

Daily Life Treasures

Creating reality

Oftentimes, it is more of a perception

Imagine that you have just put on a pair of blue-tinted sunglasses. If you were to look around the room and describe what you see, everything would appear blue to you because it’s being filtered though a blue lens.

But is this reality? No, it’s your perception of reality. We only see, hear and experience life through the perceptual filters of our senses. This is why life (and reality) is always subjective.

Our senses are always at work, filtering out what we believe to be false or what is beyond our ken.

I once read a story about how the Indians responded when Cortez landed his ship in the new world. The author claimed that the Indians couldn’t “see” the ships in the harbor because their minds were incapable of conceptualizing such vessels. They had no frame of reference. (This point…

Letter From God

Daily Life Treasures

To:                     YOU
Date:                 TODAY
From:               GOD
Subject:            YOURSELF
Reference:       LIFE
This is God. Today I will be handling all of your problems for you.  I do not need your help.  So, have a nice day. I love you.

P.S.  And remember. If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, do not attempt to resolve it yourself! Please put it in the SFGTD (something for God to do) box. I will get to it in MY TIME. All situations will be resolved, but in My time, not yours.
Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold onto it by worrying about it.  Instead, focus on all the wonderful things that are present in your life now.

If you find yourself stuck in traffic, don’t despair. There are people in this world for whom driving is an unheard of privilege.

Should you have…

The Importance Of Letting Go

Daily Life Treasures

Letting Go

The story of a monkey

There once was a happy monkey. He wandered through the jungle, happy to be alive. He stopped to eat delicious fruit when he was hungry, and resting when he was tired.

One day he came upon a house, where he saw a bowl of the most beautiful apples. He took one in each hand and ran back into the forest. Then sniffed the apples and smelled nothing.

He tried to eat them, but hurt his teeth. They were made of wood. They appeared beautiful, however, and when the other monkeys saw them, he held onto them even tighter.

He held his new wooden apples proudly as he wandered the jungle. They glistened red in the sun, and seemed perfect to him. He payed so much attention to them, that he didn’t even notice his growing hunger.

A fruit tree reminded him. He squeezed…

Arguments Steal Mind Power

Daily Life Treasures

Arguments steal mind power. Have you ever noticed that arguments are rarely “won?” Even if you think you won an argument, what did you win?

If there really is a loser, he at least learned something, right? What did you get? Ego satisfaction, debating practice, and diminished mind power.

Arguing Diminishes Mind Power

There are times when things need to be debated, but most of the time, it really isn’t productive.

Do you want to argue the point? What do you get from a useless debate, and more importantly, what do you lose?

One thing is certain. A person listening to arguments can learn something from both sides, but what about the participants?

If your opponent makes a really good point, do you say, “Hey, you’re right!” or do you more often just look for a better argument?

Arguing too much gets you in the habit of looking for arguments…
